Employee Engagement and Its Impact on Productivity:

Image
The level of commitment and involvement an employee has to their organization and its values has a direct impact on the productivity of the organization because an engaged employee works to improve performance on the job for the benefit of the organization (Patro, 2013). However, with remote work gradually becoming the norm, a growing concern in organizations is how to enhance employee engagement and improve productivity.  To answer this, here are 10 fun and easy ways to improve employee engagement:      Make it easy for employees to focus on the work they really love: Cut back on unnecessary administrative tasks (no one likes them)       Emphasize work-life balance and Promote perks that boost mental and physical wellbeing.       Send gifts that show you care and provide a little insider information too.       Provide ongoing coaching and keep the line open for feedback.       Praise your co-workers – come up with fun employee recognition programs.       Encourage volunteering!!!

Hello. If you are just boarding the train, you are welcome to the third part of my personal goal setting series. For those who have been on the train, how are those goals shaping up? I am hopeful that they look less daunting, more real, and achievable as mine does for me. My goals feel more relatable now and if yours are not there yet, be gentle on yourself and maybe try those bite-sized goals. We are all on this journey together as learners. So, I have set my goals, broken it down into actions, further broken them down into smaller actions I can execute daily but, it is still a long road ahead to achieving these goals. Sometimes that road to success can be challenging. There are so many obstacles to overcome and frankly if it were so easy to achieve those goals there would not be much to celebrate in them. The journey can be long and hard and contrary to some opinions, walking it alone can make it feel worse. It is for the above reasons that I have phase three: Who do I need to

Goal Setting Phase 2: What do I need to do today to become her?

Hello again. If you started this journey with me then, welcome to phase two: What do I need to succeed at my goals? If you are just joining the train, then I encourage you to go through phase one it is always a very good place to start. I have always found that it is one thing to set goals but accomplishing them is a totally different ball game. It requires a good degree of focus and hard work to push forward and achieve those goals. So, I set my goals, and then took some time to envision the future me. Painting a picture of who I wanted to become made the goals seem more real and achievable. P.S., it is totally okay to start with bite-size goals, setting goals you can easily accomplish is a great way to encourage yourself to realize them and do even more (do not forget to congratulate yourself along the way). Anyways, now that I had set my SMART goals the next thing was to find out how to achieve them. So, I made a list of the things I could do to assist me in achieving these go

The corona virus pandemic waltzed in, assumed center stage and an unexpected pandemic completely stole the spotlight in 2020. It came with so many negatives like the   alarming death toll and let’s not talk about how it robbed us off the little pleasures’ life offers us like hugs (and the Olympics, I was so looking forward to the opening ceremony). To put it in context, it humbled me as I saw people who could not afford decent medical care as well as those who could afford the best healthcare money could buy, all fall in the wake of the virus.             But I am not writing today about the negative things the virus came with (we are all too aware of them and I am guessing we have all had enough of the negatives). I want to accentuate the positives and focus on the bright side of the virus. I realized that thanks to the virus we all got to pause for a bit. The world had been in fast forward for far too long. I got the opportunity to breathe, take stock of my life, eva
